Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
This policy explains what information Queuwu collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers the Queuwu app for customers, the Queuwu Host app for businesses, and queuwu.com. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
In short: we keep what's needed to hold your place in line (or run your business's line), keep your account working and take payments through Google Play. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or from this site.
Information we collect
Your account
- Your name and email address, and a securely hashed password if you sign up with email. We never store your password itself.
- If you sign in with Google, the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us, and Google's identifier for your account.
- Your app settings, such as whether notifications are on.
Queues you join (customers)
- Which places you join, your token number, party size, and the times you joined, were called and left or were served.
- Your name is shown to the business whose line you join, so they know who they're calling.
Businesses (Queuwu Host)
- Your business listing: name, category, address and map location, phone number, opening hours, photos, menu or services, and the other details you add. Listings are public — anyone using Queuwu can see them.
- Your queue: the people in it, including walk-ins you add at the counter. If you enter a walk-in customer's name, phone number or a note, you're responsible for having their permission to do so.
- Your plan: which Queuwu Host plan you're on, when it renews or ends, and whether a payment failed. We get this from Google Play through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your device's location to show places near you (customers) or to place your business on the map (Queuwu Host). Customer locations are used on your device to sort and filter places; we don't keep a history of where you've been. You can turn location access off in your phone's settings and search for an area instead.
Technical information
- Our servers log requests (IP address, time, the part of the service used and whether it worked) to keep Queuwu secure and running. These logs are kept for 30 days.
- Notifications about your place in line are created on your phone by the app.
How we use it
- To run the service: hold your place in line, show it to the business, update it live and tell you when it's your turn.
- To show businesses in the app and let them manage their line.
- To take and check payments for Queuwu Host plans.
- To keep accounts secure, stop abuse (for example, too many sign-in attempts) and fix problems.
- To answer you when you contact us.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run Queuwu for us, and only what they need:
- Amazon Web Services (United States) hosts our servers, database and photos.
- Google, for Google sign-in and for payments through Google Play.
- RevenueCat manages Queuwu Host subscriptions. It receives an identifier for your business and your purchase records from Google Play.
- OpenStreetMap provides the map in Queuwu Host; your device requests map images directly from it.
Businesses see the name, token and party size of the customers in their own line. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
- Your account and listing: until you delete them.
- Queue history: while your account exists. When you delete your account, your name, phone and notes are removed from past tickets; the business keeps only the anonymous record (token number and times).
- Server logs: 30 days. Database backups: up to 7 days, then they're overwritten.
- Deleted photos may remain in storage for up to 30 days before they're permanently removed.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your details in the app.
- Delete your account in the app (Account or Profile → Delete account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page.
- Turn off notifications and location access in your phone's settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@queuwu.com.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information and don't use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the service. To make a request, email support@queuwu.com from the address on your account. We'll confirm who you are before acting on a request, and respond within 45 days.
Children
Queuwu isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, access controls and regular backups. No service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your device secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for any significant change.
